A night to remember

The story of the Beyondables begins at a masquerade ball at the legendary Liceu Opera House in Barcelona, February 2018.

He was the creator and DJ behind the event — a man dedicated to sharing beauty with the world. She was his guest, invited because of her blog exploring the energetic dynamics between human beings, weaving quantum mechanics with the metaphysical dimensions of connection.

He was drawn to her exploration of these unseen forces. She was drawn to his audacious vision: a Second Renaissance for humanity, fuelled by the transformative power of beauty. Both of them carried a secret — their previous lives had fallen apart, shattered by the same force. This shared experience sparked a natural empathy and a deep curiosity to connect. For her, the decision was instant. Before doubt could intervene, the flight from Amsterdam to Barcelona was booked.

And so we met. United by a love for another soul and a shared desire to build something entirely new. Agustí, a Manifestor in Human Design, a seasoned entrepreneur with a background in startups, high-end entertainment, and travel, brought the framework, the structure, and the captivating content. Vera, a Generator with a corporate background and a gift for big-picture thinking, leadership, and communication, brought the strategy, the economics, and the cultural architecture — the dynamics, the interactions, the clear essence, and the shared values that would become the foundation.

Fate Takes the Wheel

Within two weeks, Amsterdam became our shared home. Love blossomed as we embarked on a shared mission: to bring this audacious vision to life. As the saying goes, “It is good you have no idea what you signed up for.” This journey was no exception.

Over the next five years, we built prototype after prototype, testing our vision in diverse environments and under ever-changing conditions.

The first attempt was FFABRIC of Absolute Art Sensations, based in Amsterdam. It did not flourish there. When one of the Netherlands’ biggest investment funds made us an offer, we made a bold choice: we walked away.

Accepting it would have meant returning to the burnout we had left behind. And then the city of Amsterdam chose housing development over our project, shutting down the possibility of shifting the city’s focus from finance towards creativity.

This setback became a turning point. FFABRIC as a concept had not taken root in Amsterdam, but it had caught the attention of a wealthy family in Brazil.

The Brazilian Golden Cage

With our two dogs in tow, we set off for Brazil. Partnering with this family, we dove into building prototypes of our community vision. The biggest lesson was immediate: money is not the obstacle.

Financial resources flowed freely. The real challenge lay deeper: in the conditioning around power and wealth. The family wanted this new system as their private playground. They desired the benefits without the transformation, holding on to the belief that money buys control. In practice, this translated to a dynamic not far from servitude; a reality that still casts a long shadow in Brazil. In their eyes, we were there to build their utopia for them, not with them.

They were captivated by the Source Code: the values, the unconditional structure, the blueprint. But embodying those principles proved impossible for them. True, equal, augmented co-creation was a foreign concept. When it became clear that we would not bend to these conditions, Brazil came to a close.

The First Glimpse of Home

We landed on the Costa Brava, in a house offered by a friend. A place that came alive only in summer, where peace and quiet enveloped us. It was here that we first discovered Alta Garrotxa: the light, the rugged landscapes, the untamed beauty. It was love at first sight. “This is where we belong.” That feeling never left.

But the timing was not yet right. February 2020 found us on a plane to Colorado, joining another community project alongside fellow adventurers from Germany and Iowa. The natural beauty was stunning. The project was not. After ten days, it became clear this would not work. The obstacle this time was neither money nor power dynamics. It was rigid spiritual dogma. The vision lacked what we hold most essential: unconditional acceptance.

With our dogs scheduled to fly from Brazil to Salt Lake City, we headed there. A generous family offered us shelter for a few weeks. The dogs arrived. And then: COVID. Flights to Europe were grounded. The future became a blank page.

For us, this unexpected standstill became a lived practice of presence. We were learning to embrace the unknown, finding something solid in the very act of not knowing what tomorrow would bring.

Nomadic Revelations: Stripped Bare

From April to November 2020, the nomadic experiment began. A rolling caravan across 21 states. Five to ten people at any given time. Camping wild under open sky. Cooking over fire. Chopping wood. Hauling water. Bathing in rivers and lakes.

It turned out to be our most revealing prototype; precisely because there was no predefined project. Without distractions, the raw human experience came into sharp focus. Triggers and conflicts surfaced with an intensity we had not experienced before. It was a window straight into the core obstacle on the path to a new paradigm.

The obstacle was us. Humanity itself. Our deeply ingrained social conditioning, our rigid belief systems, the weight of unprocessed trauma, the primal fears of scarcity and inadequacy: all conspiring to hold us back from what we say we want.

A hard-won truth crystallised: the gateway to the new world lies in individual transformation. Each person must confront their own fears, embrace their emotions as catalysts for growth, and rewrite their limiting patterns. Emotional maturity is the key. There is no shortcut.

The Trigger Villa: A Crucible of Transformation

December 2020. The nomadic chapter closed. Weary from the year’s physical demands, we found refuge in Florida with a family who generously opened their home. This period of rest allowed us to reflect, document, and distill. We transformed the essence of our Source Code into a tangible card game: a living reminder of everything we had learned.

April 2021 brought us to Xàbia, near Alicante. A new community project that quickly earned its name: The Trigger Villa.

This was the prototype that finally clicked. It became the cornerstone for what we now call The Briony: a space dedicated to guiding people through the transformative fires of self-discovery. Reconnecting with their core essence. Reigniting their inner spark, their brio. Finding their true purpose.

For eight months, the Trigger Villa pulsed with raw emotion. Triggers surfaced, screams were released, tears flowed freely. And alongside the emotional catharsis: de-armouring bodywork, biophoton treatments, Inner Child work, Feldenkrais, yoga, deep conversations, and long walks in nature. All of it held by one essential ingredient: laughter, play, dance, and lightness. We understood that taking the seriousness out of transformation does not diminish it. It deepens it.

What the Trigger Villa revealed was unmistakable: when people commit to their inner journey, transformation is real. It is within reach for everyone.

Homecoming – A daring Vision takes Form

Talaixa Freedom Alta Garrotxa Agustí Sala Vera Ingeborg

With the Trigger Villa chapter complete, we finally returned to our beloved Garrotxa. A homecoming in the truest sense. A return to the land that had called to us from the beginning.

Our city carries a rich history of visionary explorers, revolutionary inventors, artistic pioneers, lovers of beauty, and scientific minds. But time had taken its toll. Empty houses and abandoned factories stand as silent witnesses to a bygone era of prosperity. A town once vibrant with inspiration had become trapped in a fading, monotonous, post-Franco industrial model focused on livestock and meat production: a system offering little more than precarious work.

This city, where a second renaissance had once blossomed before being cut short by the Civil War, was ready for a new direction. And it offered us the perfect canvas.

Our vision: the transformation of an entire city structure, its inhabitants, and its surrounding environment into a living laboratory for a new system based on the intrinsic economy. A beacon of reference. A living embodiment of what is possible. To inspire far beyond its borders.

The lighthouse is already shining. Locals are inspired. The first wave of people who resonate with this vision are arriving.

As we look back at this remarkable journey, one truth is clear: every setback, every perceived failure, was an essential lesson. Not roadblocks, but stepping stones that led us exactly where we are meant to be: building the first hub of this new world, in the place we hold dearest.
